Somfy RTS

RTS, or Radio Technology Somfy, is a one-way radio control platform widely used for motorized curtains, blinds and awnings. RTS remotes and wall controls can operate individual products or groups without a control wire between the switch and motor. Channel planning allows one remote to control a single blind, one room or several product groups. App control and automation can be added through a compatible Somfy gateway, subject to product and regional compatibility.

Somfy io-homecontrol

io-homecontrol is a bidirectional radio platform used on selected Somfy products. Compatible io equipment can provide status feedback and more detailed interaction through a supported hub. RTS and io are different protocols, so compatibility must be confirmed for every motor, sensor and control before ordering.

TaHoma smart control

A compatible TaHoma hub can bring supported Somfy products into one application for individual control, groups, schedules and scenes. Examples include opening sheers in the morning, lowering sunscreen blinds during strong afternoon sun or retracting an awning when a compatible wind sensor is triggered. Third-party compatibility with platforms such as Control4, Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home depends on the TaHoma model, country, motor protocol, supported device type, driver and project configuration, and should never be assumed from the brand name alone.

Warranty and commissioning

Somfy motors supplied and installed by Window & Wall are covered by the applicable manufacturer warranty, with the exact term stated in the quotation. Window & Wall also supports commissioning, remote setup and final client handover. For many projects, the Somfy motor warranty is five years; confirmation is provided for the selected product.
